![]() ![]() The staffs at the family room passing out s'mores kits and info about activities were Amazing. Maybe they are overworked, she sounded like a automated and didn't want to be here. I feel like receptionist are the first impression of a place and didn't start off right. I also agree that she didn't make any effort do her job. Greeted probably with the same person others complained about being rude. I called the receptionist a day earlier to confirm every thing and she didn't sound much enthusiastic at all. We stayed at the main building which is easier to access the pool and the family and game area. Our rate was $600/night, in my opinion it's not cheap at all. ![]() Initially I booked one night and decided to change it since we drive all the way here, night as well. Came here on a Tuesday and spent two nights. We are family of 5 with younger kids from 5-12 years old. If we ever come back to Yosemite this would be the place we would want to stay and if we lived in the Bay area I could easily seeing making a week at this resort an annual tradition to enjoy such breathtaking natural beauty and a fun time for families.… Service was friendly-one of the waitresses was fantastic while the other waiter we had one night was a bit more flustered so not as great of an experience (but understand since staffing must be difficult). ![]() The restaurant was booked for dinner the two nights we were there (they managed to get us in but it was a bit of juggling). The one downside is there is nothing close to this so from an eating standpoint you either eat in Yosemite park, drive 30 minutes to the nearest town, or make reservations at their restaurant. The pool was wonderful at night (the pool is open 24 hrs), the ping pong table fun, and loved the game room (we borrowed Clue and really enjoyed it both of our nights there). This was our first resort experience and we loved the nightly s’mores they had for the children and the different activities they had planned-some for a fee such as glassmaking while others are complementary such as s’mores. The bathroom was spacious and loved the modern touches and I miss the rosemary scented hand wash! We loved the balcony as well as the views of the stars from outside. The rooms were beautiful with natural wood and were the cleanest among the three hotels we stayed at during our CA vacation (despite this one ironically being the lowest nightly rate of the three). I’m a bit surprised it is ranked lower than it’s sister property since the rooms are new and clean and love that it’s fairly accessible from Yosemite National Park (fifteen minutes from the entrance on a fairly flat road). We stayed here for two days and it was amazing and we wished we had stayed longer! We booked it since it was on the tripadvisor center of excellence. Hopefully, they'll expand the menu options.we would've killed for a pizza or some pasta.… All in all a wonderful stay and really the best place to relax. We were going to purchase the pool bbq but after seeing all of the families with kids running up to the buffet in dripping wet bathing suits, we decided against it. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, and although the hamburger and fish n chips were delicious, there really wasn't much else for us to choose from. WOW! It was quiet, gorgeous and we were able to keep the patio door open at night with the ceiling fan on - wonderful! The only negative is the menu. We had an ADA 2 Queen room #130 and it was on the end of the main building, facing the back of the resort. (We drove to Evergreen, just to check it out and it was quite the distance and too rustic for us). I went back and forth between their sister property Evergreen Resort when booking and was so glad that I chose RCL. The resort is a knock-out and super close to the Yosemite entrance.
